Adjust Block Size and Mosaic Style

PixelArtNow uses one effect in the current tool: a square mosaic. Smaller blocks keep more recognizable detail. Larger blocks create a coarser result. The tool does not provide blur, hexagon, triangle, brush, or multi-region effects.

Use Pixelation for Visual Effects or Privacy

A square mosaic can create a stylized look or make part of an image less immediately readable. It may be useful for a draft or low-risk visual treatment, but it must not be treated as security.

Preview and Export Your Image

Compare the original with the pixelated result before downloading. Export PNG or JPEG; WebP appears only when your browser can create it. PNG can preserve transparency, while JPEG flattens transparent areas to white.

Can I pixelate a face, license plate, or text?

Which image formats can I export?

PNG and JPEG are available. WebP is shown only when your browser supports it; PNG is the fallback when WebP is unavailable. JPEG is lossy and turns transparent areas white.

Is pixelation enough to protect private information?

No. Do not rely on pixelation for highly sensitive information. Remove or crop the sensitive content, or use a purpose-built redaction tool, before sharing.
